As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

Service Focus Weeks

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Attended the Lions Club of Sirsi LCIF Sponsored Hunger Relief Project Building Inauguration ceremony

The Lions Club of Sirsi constructed the Hunger Relief Pilot Project Building with the assistance of LCIF at their permanent project Sirsi Lions School. The said building was inaugurated in the presence of PID, MCC, Dg and PDGs.

During the DG Visit on 22nd March, Region Chairperson MJF Lion Rajesh Salehittal donated sanitary napkins for the girls at the 'Mother's Home Girls Orphanage', Karwar, which were handed over to the residents on 23rd March by Karwar club member Lion Imtiyaz Bukhari.

ATTENDED THE LIONS CLUB OF SIRSI -LCIF SPONSORED HUNGER RELIEF PROJECT BUILDING INAUGARATION CEREMEONY

The Lions Club of Sirsi has undertaken a significant permanent service project by constructing a fully equipped Kitchen and Dining Hall at a cost of approximately ₹1.11 crores, with major funding support from Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF). This project is a Hunger Relief Initiative, aimed at providing mid-day meals to the students of Lions School, Sirsi, thereby supporting their nutrition and well-being. The building was inaugurated on 29/03/2026 by PMJF Lion K. Vamshidhara Babu, LCIF Area Leader, Constitutional Area VI, in the presence of Multiple Council Chairperson PMJF Lion Mohan Kumar and District Governor PMJF Lion Jaimol Naik, along with other distinguished Lion leaders. The project was formally handed over to the Sirsi Lions Educational Institution. The dignitaries appreciated the impactful service of the club and emphasized the importance of such LCIF-supported hunger relief projects for the community. The function was conducted successfully and concluded with the National Anthem. Kindly take this on record.

Attended Lions of Siddapur Permanent Project Extended Building Inauguration Ceremony

The Lions Club of Siddapur is successfully running a permanent project – School for Blind Children under the Ashakiran Trust. As part of this noble initiative, an extended Vocational Training Programme Building has been constructed within the school premises with financial support from LCIF. The said building was inaugurated by PID & Constitutional Area 6 Leader for LCIF PMJF Lion Vamshidhar Babu, in the presence of Multiple Council Chairperson 317 PMJF Lion Mohan Kumar and District Governor 317B PMJF Lion Jaimol Naik. This project stands as a remarkable contribution of LCIF towards a noble cause, empowering visually challenged children through skill development and education. Kindly take this on record. The Lions Club of Sirsi, in association with the Sirsi Lions Education Society, organized a Sports Exhibition – “Powerplay Arena 2026” for the students of Lions School, Sirsi. The students actively participated by exhibiting models of various sports, showcasing their creativity and understanding.
